It's a boy!!!!!!!

We were finally able to find out what we're having! While you're looking at the ultrasounds, pretend he's sitting on top of a glass table and you're looking up underneath the table. The top picture is zoomed in and in the bottom picture he's on the left side (it's the same 'table' view as I described before).

We're so happy to know what we're having. I originally thought I'd be ok without finding out, but it's amazing how much more connected we feel now that we know it's a "he" instead of an "it".

18 Week ultrasound!!!

It was so amazing to see the baby like we did today. We really wanted to see the gender but it didn't show us today. When we first started the ultrasound the baby was moving A LOT and the nurse was getting some measurements and then when it came time to look to see what the baby was it was sitting cris-cross and it had gotten very comfortable and just didn't want to move from that position. It was so amazing to see the bones and brain and heartbeat. Just to think that is in me blows my mind!!! I can't do anything but thank God for the gift he's given me to have a child.

Growing belly & Ordination!

I can't believe how much my body is changing. With most of the clothes I wear you still cannot tell I'm pregnant, but with this 14 week picture taken recently, I definitely do not have a flat tummy anymore!

We visited High Point this weekend to take momma Roland out to eat for her 50th birthday, we all had a great time at Hillybilly Hideaway (except for the random horrible splinter I got in my hand when I first sat down in my chair). I couldn't get that thing out until the next day.

Speaking of the next day - LUKE GOT ORDAINED!! He's now Pastor Luke Roland. We had the most amazing ordination service for him, it truely was one of the greatest events of our lives so far. I'm so proud to be a Pastor's wife now!

Things are going well on our side of the hill!

Heaven on Earth 2008

This was my 4th year and Luke's 5th year going to the Church Conference in Ohio. The event is held in Maumee, which is a town just outside of Toledo. We have driven the 10 hour trip every year. It's such a beautiful drive this time of the year and I did better than I thought for being pregnant. This year we rode with a caravan of others from our church. The messages, music and fellowship was awesome.

finally 12 WEEKS!!

I'm so excited to finally be 12 weeks pregnant. I am never nauseous anymore, but still a little tired.

We had our first Ultrasound this week on 10/2/08 and it really hit us both hard - there is a real human being living inside of me, how amazing! When we went to the Dr. it was moving so much. It's neat to see it move and still not be able to feel it move, that will come soon enough I'm sure. I'm finally starting to grow out of my clothes. A rubber band on most of the pants gives more room for now - let's just hope the rubber band doesn't break. The baby is about the size of this little pumpkin here!

Luke's 25th Birthday

For Luke's birthday we went to his favorite restaurant, Keaton's BBQ near Statesville, NC. He always gets the chicken - this special night, he got 2 whole chickens. Needless to say, we had left-overs. We went to High Point to be with Luke's parents and had birthday cake!

Luke got to play golf with his dad and overall had a great birthday.

Z-O-O

We rode in a van with some people from church to the Asheboro zoo. Neither of us had been since we were younger so it was great to see and enjoy. The chimps were probably our favorite because the two younger ones were playing and wrestling.

10 weeks

I'm still not really showing much, but there is a little tummy there that wasn't there before. I've been feeling better than before and during a dr. appointment on 9/16/08 I heard the fast little heartbeat, which was a complete miracle! Looking forward to the first ultrasound on 10/2/08

8 weeks

the 8 weeks photo is sort of not fully telling the truth. I just ate and it was a quick snap shot. I felt pretty nauseous for a few weeks and it was not pleasant.

DAVID ARDELL SINK

HE'S HERE! Our beautiful and perfect nephew arrived the evening of 9/11/08!! Donna and the baby are doing well and the whole family is super excited! We can't wait to watch him grow!

Our family is GROWING!

I can't believe we're going to have a baby! We went to the first Dr. appointment this morning and the due date is 4.15.09! I'm currently 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. We're so excited that we're able to have a little miracle of our own. We'll keep you updated on how things are going. The picture attached is me at 1 month (not much to see yet).

First Blog EVER

I've always looked at other blogs and thought they looked neat but that I would probably never have one because it seems so personal. Now the more I think about it, it may be a good way for our families to keep up with us. We'll see how it goes...
